Water with total dissolved solids levels\u00a0 within this range of 300 to 600 ppm is generally considered suitable for\u00a0 drinking. While some\u00a0 minerals are beneficial, high concentrations of these elements can lead to\u00a0 various problems. For example, excessive calcium and magnesium can cause\u00a0 water hardness, scaling pipes and appliances and reducing their efficiency and\u00a0 lifespan. Right amount of dissolved solids in water contribute to a healthy\u00a0 mineral intake, hydration and improved taste of water. It increases TDS levels and can lead to higher concentrations of harmful\u00a0 metals in the water.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><b>High pH <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Alkaline Water): Alkaline water tends to have higher concentrations of\u00a0 bicarbonates and carbonates, contributing to TDS.
