Clear is an Anti-fog additive in the polymer.<\/p>

The production of tiny water droplets on the surface of transparent film is referred to as fog. When there is a temperature difference between the interior and outside of an enclosed atmosphere, fogging most frequently happens.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Clear reduces the fogging of the film surfaces & maintains the visibility of packed contents. They can be added to polymer as an additive or masterbatch, during compounding to reduce fogging in polymer. Packaging plays a crucial role in the preservation, protection, and presentation of various products, ranging from food to pharmaceuticals. The visibility of packaged item is essential for quality assessment and accurate identification. For food packaging, it is critical to have clear visibility to enable accurate identification of the product, freshness identification, and any potential warnings or expiration dates. Anti-fog technology prevents condensation on packaging surfaces, ensuring clear visibility.<\/p>

Clear is an effective solution for maintaining package visibility at both high & low temperatures without damaging the properties of packaging films.<\/p>

Clear can be used in applications like BOPP films, Cling films, Packaging of fruits, vegetables, flowers, meat, pharmaceuticals, polyhouse films, Greenhouse films, etc.<\/p>

Clear is compatible with all Polyolefins (PP, PE, LLDPE, HDPE, LDPE).<\/p>

Clear is available in liquid as well as powder form. The recommended dosage is about 2000-4000 ppm in the end film, depending upon the application and expected life.<\/p>

How does Clear work? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA water droplet is formed due to the difference in surface tension between the polymer film and water. Most of the packaging films are made of olefinic polymer (Polyethylene or polypropylene). Polyolefins are non-polar and hydrophobic. They have surface tension lower than water. As a result, water condenses on the polyolefin film\u2019s surface in droplets with high contact angles. When films are made out of hydrophilic polymer with higher surface tension, the droplets have lower contact angles. If the drop is small the surface tension of liquid is high. Due to high surface tension, these droplets are unable to retain themselves on the polymer films. Thus, they trickle down from the sides of the film resulting in a clear surface, reducing or even eliminating the fogging effect. This property is seen both at high and low temperatures. Hence, the contents of the package always remain visible in storage conditions irrespective of the temperature.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
