Dr Rajesh Sharma is a Coordinator – Pulmonary Medicine department at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. He is a specialist in Pulmonary Medicine and Intensive Care with a wealth of knowledge and experience, having been in practice for over 25 years.

After graduating from Seth G.S. Medical College, Mumbai University in 1986, Dr Sharma completed his specialization in Pulmonary Medicine from K.E.M. Hospital in 1990. He secured a gold medal in his MD and also obtained additional qualification with Diplomat of National Board.

He continued to work in public hospitals following his specialization as a lecturer in K.E.M. hospital initially and B.Y.L. Nair Hospital subsequently. He has been a part of Sir Hurkisondas Nurrotumdas hospital as a Consultant in Pulmonary Medicine and Intensive care since 1993 and Saifee Hospital since 2005.

Dr Sharma is a founder member and past secretary of Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has always been involved in teaching, supervising and examining doctors and trainees in his speciality.

He has expertise in performing bronchoscopies and has keen interest in Interventional Pulmonology. With special interest in Multi drug resistant Tuberculosis, and Sleep Medicine, Dr Sharma also provides care in other respiratory diseases including Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Interstitial Lung Diseases. He is passionate about the respiratory health of his patients and believes there is nothing more fulfilling than helping patients to breathe more easily.
