Dr. Pankaj Parekh a Consultant with the Paediatrics department of Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre.

He completed MD (Paediatrics) from Topiwala National Medical College and Nair hospital and thereafter pursued Diploma in Child Health (DCH).

Dr. Parekh is a leading Paediatrics consultant of South Mumbai. He has been in private practice in 1978. Earlier, he worked at Kasturba hospital in infectious diseases department as Asst. Honorary and at Nair hospital as Asst. Professor of Paediatrics. Later, he served in the capacity of Head of Department of Paediatrics at Kasturba hospital and as Professor of Paediatrics at TNMC and Nair hospital from 1991 to 2001. He joined Sir H. N. Hospital and Research Centre in 1987 as Honorary Paediatrician. He is also associated with Saifee Hospital and Bhatia General Hospital as Honorary Paediatrician. Dr Parekh was also Paediatrician to the household of his Excellency, Governor of Maharashtra (1980).

Dr. Parekh has published many papers in reputed journals. He has written a chapter on Measles in the Text Book of Medicine (2008) as well as on Paediatric Tuberculosis in a book on Thoracic Surgery published from UK.

Amongst various achievements, he has been the recipient of Mrs. Indumati Zaveri’s Prize (Gold Medal) for standing first in DCH Examination. Over 37 years, he has been extensively involved in research and has written papers on various Paediatrics sub-specialties.
